Awards of the CZSO in 2022

 

  • The Czech Statistical Office and the Ogilvy agency won in the 2022 Effie Awards Czech Republic in the Public administration category. They took home a gold Effie for realisation of the 2021 Census marketing campaign. A jury consisting of representatives of advertising clients, communication and media agencies, research companies, journalists, and marketing experts mainly appreciated connection of playfulness of the campaign and the best documented measurability of results. Namely for its clear measurability, the Czech Statistical Office and Ogilvy were also awarded the SIMAR prize honouring the best documented results of communication – “The Best of Data Performance”. For the Czech Statistical Office, the 25th year of the most important domestic marketing contest, the Effie Awards Czech Republic, was thus a golden one.

  • The Czech Statistical Office scored in several categories of the 2021 Fénix (Phoenix) Content Marketing competition. The Statistika & My magazine (Statistics & Us) ranked 3rd in the offline B2B magazine category, 2021 Infographics of the CZSO ranked 2nd in the category of data visualisation, and the publication Česko v číslech (Czechia in Figures) also ranked 2nd, this time for a one-off publication. The Fénix Content Marketing competition has been on the Czech market already for 9 years defining the best work, agencies, and clients in the area of content marketing by means of a competition, which is evaluated by a jury of almost 40 best experts in their fields of work.

  • The 2021 Population and Housing Census communication campaign ranked 1st in the Golden Semicolon competition (called Zlatý středník in Czech). The campaign won in the Public Sector and Political Communication category. The competition is hosted by the PR Klub trade association of experts from the area of communication. Appreciated are communication projects and company/corporate media that considerably contribute to spreading of the good name of a brand, positively influence the public opinion, and increase an interest of the public in presented topics, services, or products. The professional jury found the Census project interesting mainly because it successfully persuaded 85% of the population to fill in Census forms (questionnaires) online and because the Census took place successfully even despite the worsened conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the same competition category, the publication of the Czech Statistical Office called Česko v číslech (Czechia in Figures) won the Top Rated award. The brochure summarises interesting statistical information about Czechia and presents it in a form that is easily comprehensible for the general public.

  • The publication Česko v číslech (Czechia in Figures) 2021 won the 17th annual Lemur - Czech Public Relations Award in the category Communication Tools - Corporate Publications - Brochures, Bulletins and Newsletters. In the Communication Disciplines – Crisis Communication category, the CZSO took 2nd place for its crisis communication solution for the 2021 Census project. The competition is hosted annually by the Public Relations Association (APRA) since 2006. The awards are given to PR projects or parts of projects that are best aligned with the client's business strategy, contain creative solutions, comply with the ethical rules of the industry and have a demonstrable positive impact on the client's business and reputation.
